Welcome 2017-2018 School Year

It has been an adventurous beginning to this school year. Hurricane Harvey really made an impact to Texas. Thankfully, our library was spared any damage.

We are celebrating October with our Saddle Up and Read Book Fair. You can shop online @ https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/homepage.do?method=homepage&url=youngbloodintermediateschool

We are also supporting Red Ribbon Week with our community service project, Wash Away Drugs, by collecting hygiene items for our local shelter, The House of Amos.

Thank you for supporting our school!

We are having a late shopping night on Tuesday, April 11th from 5-6:30 with our Makerspace Event. What is a Makerspace? According to Diana Rendina, "A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials". Check out her article on Makerspaces here

Some of the activities we will be doing are binary bracelets, making duct tape projects, origami, coasters, and more. We hope to see you at the Book Fair and at our first Makerspace Event!
